I
have been creating websites professionally since 1997 and have
experience developing corporate internet, extranet, and intranet
sites.
I've done
website overhauls,
relocations,
and have developed them from the ground up. For my first year
and a half, I hand-coded HTML, Perl, and Javascripts using
a simple
text editor (so I have a good idea on how to troubleshoot code).
I have several years of experience with other software such
as
Frontpage and GoLive, but Dreamweaver MX is, by far, my favorite.

Note:

This
was a site redesign, incorporating an entirely new color
palette as well as new graphic elements. I completely
redid the navigation and made updates to the file structure
to create
a
more appropriate hierarchy.
A new style sheet was also applied to make content creation
easier and more uniform. |

menus allow users to get around easier and the use of
photography was a huge improvement over the clip-art in

All-Flash
website with music. Images are loaded into Flash content
on a need only basis. The "Store Locator" is scripted in
ActionScript and queries hundreds of stores to find the
10 closest. Dynamic forms seemlessly reference Perl
scripts outside of
Flash
content without
ever
having
to leave the main flash page, or open a new window. |

site contains Flash animations, and several Perl scripts
(for
searching the site, user registrations sent via email, and
logging information to spreadsheets). It also contains
an extranet for select partners and web
forms that allow administrators to easily add and delete
usernames
and passwords. PHP is used to allow for easy updates to
the event sections. Events remove themselves from
the website after their dates pass. |
